Across the United States, science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) occupations are rapidly increasing in demand and making up more and more of the job market each year. AMS’s programs are designed to provide students a strong introduction to the world of STEM—a world in which students may lay the path to a prosperous future as early as kindergarten.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, “it would be difficult to imagine our daily lives without smart phones, applications, online shopping, and many other conveniences made possible by the men and women working in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations.”1 With “just a short leap in time”1 technology has provided enormous advances to modern society.
At AMS, we hope that each student will develop a love of science, technology, engineering, and math. We hope to transform today’s students into the next generation of STEM innovators.

Program Overview:
AMS Science, Technology, and Engineering
The AMS Tech and Engineering program uses of a wide variety of programs designed to teach students computer skills that range from typing to creating graphs, creating presentations, to writing code that operates student-made robots. Material selection is determined by computer science educational experts that have been specifically selected to provide computer science instruction to AMS students.
The program includes the use of RPG Maker MV, CompTIA A+, Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other Office Suite products; Flash and other Adobe products; Minecraft, Alice, or similar programming software; and basics of various programming languages such as Visual Basic, Java, Python, and others.
Programs or Textbooks
All of our campuses offer fully equipped facilities that are brand new, or recently updated to give your child access to more.
Programs or Textbooks for the Science, Technology, and Engineering curriculum include:
- Standard K-5: Singapore’s My Pals Are Here International Edition
- Standard 6-8:
- Earth Science: It’s About Time, Earth Science Series
- Biology: CPO Life Science or Chemistry: AMS created Middle School Curriculum
- Computer Science: Microsoft Office Suite, Code Academy, RPG Maker MV, CompTIA A+, and more
- Robotics: Lego Education
- Physics: CPO Physical Science and CPO Physics a First
- Supplemental Science: Study Island Online
- Mathematics: Saxon Math
All students are provided regular opportunities to apply math and science principles
in class and in extracurricular activities through academic competitions and clubs.
For example, all AMS schools have a robotics course so that students gain firsthand experience using their skills to create a product with real world results. Science Olympiad, a national program designed to bring science, technology, engineering, and math to all students, is also incorporated into the AMS middle school science curriculum and as an after-school club so that students may use their STEM skills in school and in competition outside of the classroom.
